CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington 4/28/12

We are continuing to add to our CrossFit "bag of tricks "as we learned Front Squats this week and added Rope Pulls and Log Rolls today. Ice Cream Truck was so fun! Even I couldn't stay out of the activities. :) Have a great week, study hard and play hard!

Miles: Amazing rope pulls! Way to work hard the whole time! 


Skill: Front Squats
        Rope Pulls

WOD: Buy In 40 Jump Ropes
         3 Rounds
         5 Log Rolls
         10 Burpees
         15 Front Squats

CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington 4/27/12

Wow, we have some amazing CrossFit kids at CrossFit Devotion! Everyone was working so hard, having awesome attitudes, cheering each other on, and most of all having BIG FUN!! Thanks everyone for bringing your work for homework club. I love it when we work our brains out too!

CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington: 4/21/12

With the weather warming up we are all feeling the urge to play outside. We soaked up the sun as we worked, and played during our Sat. class. Thanks everyone for being such dedicated and hard working CrossFitters. I love to see kids excited about fitness.

Miles: Awesome wall balls! You did great keeping your squat solid and catching the wall ball. Keep it up!


Skill: Wall Balls
         Plank Holds
WOD: 1 min AMRAP of each movement  (with 30 seconds of rest between each activity) 
           * Squats
           * Burpees
           * Wall Balls

Sunday Reading 4/22

Maybe today during a break in your golf program, or your morning coffee routine, you can add a little CrossFit info to the mix. Every Sunday I will be posting some "Sunday Reading" for the adults. The focus will be on kid related topics.

We have heard, and most of us believe that CrossFit is good for our kids' bodies and brains. Check out this video by Dr. Jon Gary as he explains why we should have our little ones doing CrossFit and why it is so important to keep up our work in homework club. He does a great job explaining scientific reasoning in everyday language. Be encouraged that what we are doing for the next generation is healthy and worth it!
