CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington 4/27/12

Wow, we have some amazing CrossFit kids at CrossFit Devotion! Everyone was working so hard, having awesome attitudes, cheering each other on, and most of all having BIG FUN!! Thanks everyone for bringing your work for homework club. I love it when we work our brains out too!

CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington: 4/21/12

With the weather warming up we are all feeling the urge to play outside. We soaked up the sun as we worked, and played during our Sat. class. Thanks everyone for being such dedicated and hard working CrossFitters. I love to see kids excited about fitness.

Sunday Reading 4/22

Maybe today during a break in your golf program, or your morning coffee routine, you can add a little CrossFit info to the mix. Every Sunday I will be posting some "Sunday Reading" for the adults. The focus will be on kid related topics.

We have heard, and most of us believe that CrossFit is good for our kids' bodies and brains. Check out this video by Dr. Jon Gary as he explains why we should have our little ones doing CrossFit and why it is so important to keep up our work in homework club. He does a great job explaining scientific reasoning in everyday language. Be encouraged that what we are doing for the next generation is healthy and worth it!

Rescheduling Information


Attention Parents!!

We will be rescheduling the Thursday May 10th class for Friday the 11th at 6:00 PM.  This is a one time move due to a scheduling conflict. Hopefully your child will be able to make it. Sorry for the inconvience! I look forward to seeing everyone there.J

Well, we had a fabulous time helping Beth celebrate her 9th birthday! She was so cool with her new tall socks. She even made her own birthday mix on her IPOD so we could WOD to some sweet tunes. Thanks Beth for sharing your special day with us!

CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington: Wall Balls!!

Today we learned how to wall ball. WALL BALLS are AWESOME! Everyone did so well squatting and hitting their targets! I love your hard work in the gym.

CrossFit Devotion Kids Covington: Easter Egg Hopper

With Easter almost upon us we decided to get into the festive spirit by working out with an Easter Egg Hopper. The kids all had fun as they chose an Easter egg, opened it, completed the activity it listed, and then quickly returned to the basket for another egg. We took the traditional CrossFit hopper to another level!

Our First Tabatta

We tried out our first Tabatta workout at CrossFit Devotion Kids- so. . much. . .fun! No parents, we are not teaching your child a foreign language, it a type of CrossFit workout. Have your child teach you about it, and and if you feel up to it, try one out for fun.
